Job Description

Join Seaspan Shipyards as a Senior Engineer specializing in Naval Architecture, contributing to cutting-edge design and construction projects. This permanent onsite role requires high-level technical knowledge and leadership skills.

As the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for executing naval architecture tasks throughout different project phases. Your role involves developing material specifications, performing complex calculations, and ensuring all designs meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and calculation reviews to meet contract specifications

• Mentor junior engineers in naval and structural design areas

• Develop design documents for various vessel types

• Conduct both formal and informal trade studies for solutions

• Compile material specifications based on project needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture

• Minimum 10 years in Naval Architecture and Structural Design

• Professional Engineering license in British Columbia

• Expert knowledge of structural design practices

• Proficient with engineering software and MRP systems
