Payroll Manager Canada and U.S.

Job Description

Join Vaco by Highspring as a Payroll Manager, focusing on seamless payroll processing in the U.S. and Canada. Ensure compliance and effective management across diverse payroll operations.

In this pivotal role, you will manage payroll processing from start to finish, produce reports, and oversee compliance with law changes in both countries. Your expertise in payroll, along with a minimum of 5 years in leadership, positions you to ensure accuracy and audit readiness while improving processes continuously. Collaborate with HR to support employee benefit programs and ensure efficient payroll management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct multi-state payroll processing for accurate payments

• Oversee payroll changes and compliance with regulations

• Manage payroll tax filings and statutory remittances

• Review payroll entries and account reconciliations

• Lead payroll system implementations and improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR

• 5+ years of relevant payroll leadership experience

• Required knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll laws

• Certification in payroll management preferred

• Experience in healthcare preferred
