Job Description

Become a Wireless Network Analyst I with UBC IT, focusing on the management of a complex enterprise wireless network. This role emphasizes RF analysis, equipment installation, and monitoring network performance.

As part of the Network Infrastructure Services team, you will ensure operational stability for UBC’s extensive wireless network, supporting up to 100,000 concurrent devices. You will design and implement wireless solutions that enhance the University’s teaching, learning, and research capabilities. Strong consultation and technical skills are essential for user support and network performance assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure campus network stability through wireless support

• Design and plan the wireless network architecture

• Manage access point provisioning and installation

• Conduct site-surveys and user testing for wireless solutions

• Monitor network performance and assess capacity needs

Requirements:

• Experience in wireless network design and planning

• Proficient in RF analysis and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices

• Familiarity with Cisco equipment and configurations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
