Security Engineer in Hardware at Motive

Job Description

Join Motive as a Security Engineer specializing in Hardware Security, focusing on safety and efficiency in physical operations. Your role will involve design reviews and threat modeling to enhance security.

As a Security Engineer, you will collaborate with hardware teams to ensure security is embedded at every stage of product development. This strategic position requires building secure-by-default components and defining security requirements for various platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop hardware security baselines for Motive devices

• Foster collaboration with engineering on security priorities

• Evaluate security risks throughout product lifecycles

• Lead security reviews and threat assessments

• Specify security requirements for hardware and embedded systems

Requirements:

• At least 5 years in Hardware Security focusing on design

• Experience working directly with product teams

• 5+ years of programming expertise in Python and C/C++

• Solid understanding of security controls for hardware

• Familiarity with cloud security and application standards

Drive significant security initiatives as part of Motive's Product Security Team, enhancing the safety of physical operations.
