Full-Time Train Conductor Needed

Job Description

CPKC is seeking a full-time Train Conductor in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where safety is a top priority. This role involves hands-on work in a demanding outdoor setting.

In this foundational position, the Train Conductor works closely with the train crew to manage loading, unloading, and railway operations. Responsibilities encompass rigorous safety measures, coordination of rail car movements, and effective communication within the team. The ability to adapt to unpredictable schedules and physically challenging tasks is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct specific train route and movement instructions

• Manage the coupling and uncoupling of rail cars

• Relay critical signals and emergency notifications

• Uphold General Code of Operating Rules standards

• Execute operational tasks and maintain safety protocols

Requirements:

• Physically fit to undertake demanding job tasks

• Strong focus and communication skills necessary

• Willingness to work shifts in various weather conditions

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
