Software Engineer – Full Stack

Modernize an established Django and React web application while paying down technical debt

Ship smaller, self-contained custom solutions directly to customers and own delivery end-to-end

Co-define target technical patterns with the team

Write design documents and run technical demos to align stakeholders before implementation

Sequence product behaviors into backend and frontend implementation with accurate complexity estimates

Design and ship self-contained customer solutions

Investigate and validate datasets using SQL and metrics to ground design decisions

Lead modernization efforts by migrating legacy code into modern patterns

Upgrade core frameworks and retire end-of-life dependencies

Decompose oversized modules

Reduce technical debt incrementally alongside ongoing product work through safe refactoring

Requirements 3–5 years building and maintaining production web applications

Genuine depth in backend (Django/Django REST Framework, Python) or frontend (React, including React Query, TypeScript), with working competence in the other

Fluency with AI-assisted development workflows and AI coding agents

Ability to use SQL, queries, metrics, and models to investigate datasets and validate results

Technical writing and design skills, including design documents, diagrams, and clear reasoning

Experience building and deploying on a cloud stack; GCP preferred

Experience with serverless services such as Cloud Run or Cloud Functions, service-to-service authentication, and cloud deployment pipelines

Working understanding of RBAC, SSO, MFA/2FA, IAM, and tier-based gating

Comfortable modernizing a live codebase within an existing code-review and agile process

Organized and process-oriented, with a strong grasp of the SDLC

Experience with CI/CD, API telemetry/monitoring, and database design/denormalization

Advantageous: technical demonstrations leading to technology adoption

Advantageous: led or played a key role in designing a shipped project/system

Advantageous: major framework version upgrades or large-module decomposition on a live production codebase

Advantageous: AI/LLM product feature development
