Structural Engineer in Training Vancouver

Job Description

A leading structural engineering consultancy is hiring for a Junior to Intermediate Structural Design Engineer. Applicants should have a degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with structural design expertise and knowledge of the BC Building Code. Strong analytical and communication abilities are key for reviewing designs and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural designs and necessary calculations

• Use CAD software for engineering documentation

• Review and support project plans and execution

• Conduct structural site observations

• Liaise with contractors and review shop drawings

Requirements:

• ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering

• Registered EIT or P.Eng. with EGBC

• Structural design experience with concrete and wood

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to interpret construction drawings accurately
