Position Summary We are seeking an experienced AEM Full Stack Developer to join our Studio / Technology team at INNOCEAN Canada on a full-time, permanent basis in Toronto (Hybrid). This role sits at the intersection of deep AEM expertise and full stack development, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade digital experiences across the entire software development lifecycle.

You will build AEM templates, components, and integrations while contributing front-end craftsmanship and back-end services that extend AEM into the broader technology ecosystem. Partnering closely with project managers, designers, UX, and development teams, you'll translate creative vision into scalable, high-performing, and maintainable solutions from pixel to platform.

Key Responsibilities AEM Development Participate in all phases of the AEM development lifecycle, including estimation, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support

Build and maintain AEM templates, components, dialogs, workflows, models, and services using Touch UI and modern component frameworks

Configure and manage DAM asset metadata, metadata schemas, and workflows

Design and optimize dispatcher and CDN caching strategies to improve performance and scalability

Support AEM Multi-Site Manager implementations and content governance strategies

Front-End Development Translate wireframes and creative designs into high-quality, responsive front-end implementations

Collaborate with UX, creative, and development teams to uphold high standards for digital experience quality

Back-End Development & Integration Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs to integrate AEM with third‑party systems, Adobe Experience Cloud products, and other platforms

Build and maintain server‑side logic, services, and database structures supporting AEM and related platforms

Support ETL processes and data workflows tied to campaign, CRM, and content systems

Apply security, performance, and scalability best practices across all implementations

Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams

Participate in estimation, technical planning, and solution design

Work within Agile delivery environments, contributing to sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

Qualifications & Experience Skills and Behaviour 3–5 years of hands‑on experience delivering full‑cycle AEM implementations using version 6.3 or higher

Strong experience with CRX and JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, and OSGi frameworks

Advanced understanding of dispatcher configuration, caching strategies, and CDN optimization

Hands‑on experience with Java and JEE, Spring, and test‑driven development

Solid understanding of REST API development and integration with third‑party and Adobe systems

Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases

Comfortable working in Agile or SAFe Agile environments with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Git

Education and Experience Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Minimum 3–5 years of combined AEM and full stack development experience

Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products (Analytics, Target, Campaign, Audience Manager) is an asset

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or AWS is an asset

Experience with other CMS platforms (Sitecore, Drupal, CoreMedia) is an asset
