Who you are…
This role is crucial for launching Ecosystem data and analytics initiatives. We seek a passionate and versatile Data Engineer unafraid to dive into the work and lead the way. The mission of the role is to establish a more data-driven organization. The ideal candidate, driven by curiosity and practicality, will collaborate with both business and IT teams to define and refine requirements, designing and developing data deliverables.
As an outcome-focused company, the goal is to create value using internal and external data assets. This involves leveraging data for value creation, developing data-enabled strategies, and facilitating various business outcomes through data and analytics. The successful candidate will engage in regular discussions with data consumers to optimize data pipelines in nonproduction environments and deploy them in production.
What you will do…
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and the digital operations team to comprehend data requirements, clarify the decisions they support, augment, or automate.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to optimize the value derived from data and analytics.
• Create rapid prototypes and transform them into functional data products and services.
• Coordinate with the applications development team to establish suitable interfaces between services.
• Enhance the integration, reusability, and automation of data flows between various sources and consumers across the organization.
• Contribute to the development of enterprise applications.
• Utilize contemporary software engineering techniques to assess AI solutions and aid in the development of AI-related software, adhering to best practices.
• Monitor data consumption patterns, optimizing them for data quality, security, and governance.
• Advocate for effective data management practices and foster a deeper understanding of data and analytics across the organization.
Your profile…
• B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in data management disciplines, including integration, modeling, optimization, and data quality.
• Business-oriented mindset, capable of making informed decisions based on available information.
• Proficiency in popular analytics and BI tools (e.g., PowerBI).
• Cloud Computing and deployment frameworks in Azure. Experience in architecture patterns, including microservices, is an asset.
• Full professional proficiency in English. Professional proficiency in French for collaboration with Quebec stakeholders is an asset.
