Senior Engineer for Mining Projects

Job Description

Elevate your career at JDS Energy as a Senior Mining Engineer, focusing on design and planning for both underground and open pit operations. Collaborate closely with Project Managers on key engineering tasks.

In this role, you'll engage in a variety of mining projects, from feasibility studies to operational reviews, ensuring exceptional quality and adherence to standards. You'll also contribute extensively to cost estimation and lead junior engineers, embodying the principles of the JDS Way.

Key Responsibilities: • Conduct engineering design for mining studies and reports • Assist with procurement of mining equipment and specifications • Develop thorough CAPEX and OPEX cost analyses • Mentor and guide junior engineering staff • Present findings effectively to various audiences

Requirements: • Strong background in mining engineering • Expertise in technical project management and reporting • Excellent communication and mentoring skills • Adaptable to project changes and challenges • Knowledge of industry standards, including NI 43-101
