Experienced Millwright Role at Gerdau

Job Description

Enhance your career as an Industrial Millwright with Gerdau in Whitby, earning $46.84/hr. This position focuses on equipment maintenance and operational continuity in a dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include inspecting, servicing, and repairing mechanical systems to optimize production processes. Your ability to advise on necessary equipment care and maintain logs using CMMS will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and maintenance on machinery regularly

• Repair and replace various mechanical components efficiently

• Implement emergency repairs to minimize downtime

• Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities

• Operate cranes and mobile equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements:

• Certification as Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (433A or 426A)

• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred

• Mechanical aptitude with exposure to different systems

• Proficient in basic computer tasks for documentation

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
