Job Description

Innovate at Camunda as a Senior Software Engineer on our new Data Streaming team. Shape foundational architecture for data access and contribute to building client-facing solutions in a fully remote setup.

In this role, you will design and build a streaming infrastructure that optimizes access to process data, decoupling it from the execution engine. With over 7 years of backend engineering experience in Java and a strong foundation in distributed systems, you will join a responsive, high-ownership team. Your work will directly impact how clients integrate tools like Kafka into their systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design the core streaming infrastructure and storage solutions

• Build customer integration capabilities for reliable data extraction

• Reimagine Camunda's analytics product for better data handling

• Make key architectural decisions in a collaborative environment

• Participate in L3 support and issue investigations

Requirements:

• 7+ years as a backend engineer with Java expertise

• Experience with object storage systems and data-intensive applications

• Hands-on knowledge of Kafka or similar systems

• Proven track record in leading engineering initiatives

• Strong communication skills in a remote context
