About the Position We are currently seeking a

CNC Operator – Laser Cutting

to join our manufacturing team in Quebec City.

The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses strong technical and manual skills.

Fluency in French is mandatory for this role.

Salary:

Based on experience (unionized position)

Schedule:

Rotating day and evening shifts, every two weeks

Day shift:

Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Evening shift:

Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Main Responsibilities

Start up and operate the CNC cutting table by selecting appropriate materials and programs.

Operate laser cutting machines, collect finished parts, and manage scrap material.

Inspect the quality of cut or bent parts and make necessary adjustments.

Sort and organize parts according to specifications and ensure proper material recycling.

Set up and operate the press brake according to material type and thickness.

Program the press brake using part codes.

Change tools as needed and verify the quality of bent parts using precision measuring instruments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Fluency in French (mandatory).

Diploma in metallurgy or equivalent vocational training (asset).

Experience operating CNC machinery (asset).

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Basic computer skills.

Accuracy, rigor, and attention to detail.

Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving ability.
