Zaber is seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Design Engineer for a co-op term. You’ll be involved in designing and manufacturing fixtures and prototypes while working closely with our diverse engineering teams. Enjoy access to a fully equipped machine shop while gaining invaluable experience in precision motion control equipment for sectors like photonics and aerospace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and test fixtures and electro-mechanical devices

• Create solid models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks

• Evaluate and enhance manufacturing efficiencies

• Collaborate with various teams for product improvement

Requirements:

• Current enrolment in a degree or diploma program

• Passion for mechanical systems and hands-on work

• Effective communication skills and detail-oriented

• Knowledge of Python or C# is a plus

• Previous machine shop experience is advantageous
