Job Description

This is a 8.5 month contract located in ON - Scarborough / Hybrid (2 days in-office) Please note - This is a 7.5 hour work day. All successful candidates will be subject to a mandatory credit AND criminal check as per the client. Please note that all contractors are subject to a possible Holiday Leave program schedule, set by the client. RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices. Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift. Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms, and third-party services. Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and release management activities. Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions while adhering to security, compliance, and operational standards. Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills

8+ years of Full stack development experience. 5+ years of Strong hands-on experience with:

Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture Angular and/or React SQL and NoSQL databases Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Nice-To-Have Skills

Banking or financial services experience. Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Event-Driven Architecture, and API security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT). Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana. Cloud certifications and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. A passion for delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions. A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to engineering excellence. Degrees or certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 1 Rounds of interview On-site in-person Technical Interview Questions will be based on previous experience with Real time examples.
