Electrification Lead for Rail + Transit

Job Description

TYLin is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (P.Eng.) to lead electrification initiatives in our Rail + Transit team. This senior role welcomes professionals ready to mentor multi-disciplinary teams and guide projects from concept to construction. With a focus on traction power, substations, and power distribution, this position emphasizes the delivery of cleaner, smarter transit systems in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct planning and design of electrification projects nationally

• Serve as the technical authority on electrification systems

• Mentor teams through all project phases, from feasibility to construction

• Develop specifications and engineering documentation

• Engage clients, building strong relationships with transit stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. designation required

• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in transit

• Proven leadership in electrification projects

• Strong understanding of Canadian electrical codes

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
