Job Description

Cohere is hiring an AI Data Analysis Specialist to enhance our language models. This remote-friendly role centers on data evaluation and model performance improvement.

As a Member of Technical Staff, you will play a critical role in the assessment and evaluation of our large language models (LLMs) at Cohere. Your responsibilities include designing data collection strategies and applying statistical methodologies for quality analysis. Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and annotators to drive impactful improvements across AI systems.

Key Responsibilities: • Oversee data collection efforts with human annotators • Develop methods for evaluating dataset reliability • Assess the robustness and generalizability of machine learning systems • Collaborate inter-team to strengthen data quality and model performance • Conduct experiments to analyze and refine model performance

Requirements: • Exceptional software engineering capabilities • Proficient in statistical evaluation of experiments • Hands-on experience with LLM training in distributed settings • Expertise in Python and various ML frameworks • Strong collaboration and communication skills
