Full Stack Developer - .NET

Role Purpose

Reporting to the VP, Solutions & Delivery, we are looking for a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer – .NET to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, along with modern front-end technologies.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end applications while working closely with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers.

Core Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and Web API.

- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using React, Angular, Blazor, or similar modern JavaScript/C# frameworks.

- Develop scalable RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services and enterprise systems.

- Design and optimize relational databases using SQL Server, including tables, stored procedures, views, functions, and queries.

- Implement secure authentication and authorization using technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and ASP.NET Core Identity.

- Process and transform large fixed-width and delimited (CSV/flat) input files as part of data integration and batch workflows.

- Generate large, well-structured XML output and associated XSD schemas for downstream systems and partners.

- Integrate with document/PDF generation platforms such as Quadient, Exstream, or SmartCOMM to support customer communications.

- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code following established coding standards and design patterns.

- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions and contribute to application modernization initiatives.

- Develop unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.

- Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and development standards.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development practices and application architecture.

Required Qualifications

Backend

- Strong proficiency in C#

- Hands-on experience with .NET / .NET Core

- Strong experience with ASP.NET Core

- Experience developing RESTful Web APIs

- Knowledge of Entity Framework Core

- Understanding of dependency injection, middleware, configuration, logging, and application lifecycle

- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles

- Experience with common design patterns and clean architecture principles

- Experience processing large fixed-width and delimited input files

- Experience generating large XML files and XSD schemas

- Experience integrating with PDF generation software such as Quadient, Exstream, SmartCOMM, or similar

Frontend

- Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript

- Hands-on experience with at least one modern framework: React, Angular, Vue.js, or Blazor (C#-based)

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design

- Experience consuming REST APIs and handling client-side state

- Familiarity with frontend build tools and package managers such as npm

Database

- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server

- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries

- Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, and query optimization

- Understanding of database design, normalization, transactions, and performance tuning

- Experience with Entity Framework Core or another ORM

Cloud & DevOps

- Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform

- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Service Bus

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines

- Familiarity with Git-based source control and branching strategies

- Experience with Docker and containerization is a plus

- Understanding of application monitoring, logging, and observability

Testing & Quality

- Experience with unit testing using frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest

- Understanding of integration and API testing

- Familiarity with mocking frameworks such as Moq

- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration

- Strong understanding of secure coding and application performance practices

Preferred Skills

- Experience with microservices architecture

- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

- Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka

- Experience with Redis or other caching technologies

- Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus

- Familiarity with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies

- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

- Experience with application performance monitoring tools

- Knowledge of AI/ML integrations or consuming LLM APIs is a plus

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 3–7+ years of professional software development experience, depending on level.

- Strong hands-on experience with the .NET ecosystem and modern frontend development.

- Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade web applications.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
